10 Years of Razorpay: Every Employee Gets a Slice with New ESOPs Plan
Razorpay, a full stack payments and banking platform, has announced that it is extending ESOPs worth ₹ 1 lakh to each of its current employees, numbering at over 3,000.
This ESOP gesture underscores the fintech major’s gratitude for the relentless passion and contributions that have shaped Razorpay’s remarkable journey over the past 10 years.

Razorpay was founded in 2014 and over the past decade, the company has grown exponentially, setting new benchmarks in the fintech industry. Today, it supports millions of businesses and has reached more than 300 million end consumers across India.
With an annualized Total Payment Volume (TPV) of $180 billion, Razorpay has firmly established itself as the market leader in digital payment processing and launched more than 40 products every year, driving innovation and scaling new heights.
Today, the fintech major powers payments for 80 of India’s 100 unicorns.

From its first ESOP buyback in 2018, which enabled 140 employees to liquidate their vested shares, to the $75 million ESOP buyback in 2022 benefiting 650 existing and former employees, Razorpay has continually ensured its success translates into tangible value for its people.
