Hyderabad start-up develops AI-based reusable notebook to convert handwritten notes to digital text
If you have the habit of using pen-and-paper at meetings and are struggling to digitise the content for easy transfer of text and gain actionable insights from it or translate the content, here is a solution from a Hyderabad-based start-up.
Quadric IT, a Hyderabad-based start-up, has married AI with physical notebooks, helping save newsprint and converting handwritten notes and meeting notes into digital text. The start-up produced a notebook, that looks like an ordinary spiral notebook, which can work with a ReNoteAI app (on both Google’s Android App and Apple’s iOS) to reduce the dependence on newsprint, while allowing users to contextually capture the data and making it available in the cloud.
Each of the pages in the notebook, which is priced at about ₹799 a piece, can be erased using a wet cloth or a napkin and used 100 times.

“The goal is to merge sustainability with AI-powered efficiency, ensuring that businesses and individuals alike can reduce waste while enhancing productivity,” Kesari Sabniveesu, Co-Founder of Quadric IT, told businessline. Kesari, along with Suman Balabommu and Raghu Ram Thatavarthy, developed the product. They showcased the features of the notebook at the BioAsia 2025 here.

“The notebook comprises a few templates to record ‘To Do’, schedule a meeting, and minutes of meetings, besides a few regular ruled pages. Using a special pen that we provide, they can enter details in each of these templates. They need to download the ReNoteAI app from app stores and capture the handwritten notes by turning the camera on their mobile phones to it,” he said.
The app captures the data, stores it for ready reference, and converts it into digital text. Using the AI tools on the app, they can interact with the text by asking relevant questions.
Kesari said it also developed a product for colleges to help them conduct OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) examinations without having to use printed answer sheets. “We developed a reusable sheet that can help them evaluate the answers easily and save money by reducing the expenditure on paper,” he said.

Beyond the reusable smart notebook, Quadric IT is presenting a range of AI and data-driven solutions tailored for the Bio and Pharma industries. These innovations aim to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and contribute to a greener future.
The start-up also developed Tendorix, a smart tender, order and procurement management solution. It helps firms streamline the entire lifecycle of tender creation, approvals, order fulfilment, and compliance tracking. It enables businesses to automate workflows, track approvals, and ensure regulatory compliance.
