Tanla Platforms to announce Q1 results today

Tanla Platforms registered a net profit of ₹117 crore on a revenue of ₹1,024 crore in the fourth quarter last year.

Tanla Platforms, a Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) provider to telecom companies, will announce its first quarter results on Thursday.

The company registered a net profit of ₹117 crore on a revenue of ₹1,024 crore in the fourth quarter last year. For 2024-25, the net profit stood at ₹507 crore on a revenue of ₹4,028 crore, showing a year-on-year growth of 2.5 per cent.

D Uday Kumar Reddy, Founder Chairman & CEO, said that the company was ready to help telcos to tap vast volumes of cluttered data that they possessed.

“Telcos today sit on vast volumes of rich data; data that is complex, siloed and scattered across systems such as networks, billing platforms, devices, CRMs and mobile apps. The platform we have built leverages large-scale infrastructure, deep domain expertise and agentic models capable of fetching data across these fragmented systems,” he said, addressing the 29th annual general meeting on Wednesday.

“It will be deeply embedded into the telco ecosystem, spanning the network, SIM and mobile handsets. We have already deployed the first application of this AI-native platform with a large telco in Southeast Asia, under a multi-year contract,” he said.

“We will continue to develop more applications on this platform, which will unlock different new use cases for telcos and enterprises. This deployment will go live in August. From day one, we will be able to onboard 50 million users,” he said.

Recently the company shareholders gave their approval for a ₹175-crore share buyback plan. The company intended to repurchase 20 lakh shares, each with a face value of ₹1, at a price of ₹875 per share. These shares represent 1.49 per cent of the company’s total outstanding shares.

Tanla’s shares closed at ₹678, up by 0.62 per cent over the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday.
